Whitstable Community Education is a collective of parents from a diverse range of backgrounds and interests. We meet once a week (for now) at The Whitstable Community Allotment to do creative, sociable, educational activities as an alternative to mainstream schooling. We have been established since May 2011 and are now in early development.

This blog may be updated by any member of Whitstable Community Education and any opinions or view points which may be made by any individual should not be taken as the opinion of the group, we are a bunch of autonomous people!

Monday 16th January

The pond was frozen over when we got to the community allotment this morning so we spent most of the session playing with big sheets of ice, making them into lots of pieces and poking holes into the ice in the pond...  We built a fire played music and enjoyed the fresh, sunshiny morning.
